About Dr. Sandra D. Little

1/2

Dr. Sandra D. Little is a seasoned Christian counselor, minister, and chaplain devoted to walking alongside individuals and families as they pursue healing, restoration, and spiritual wholeness. Her work is grounded in a deep commitment to biblical truth, compassionate care, a deep respect for each person’s story, and ethical counseling practices.

Dr. Little holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Psychology from Chapman University, a Master of Divinity from Faith University, and a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University. She earned her Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Counseling, equipping her to integrate sound psychological principles with Christ-centered counseling and pastoral care. With advanced training in both theology and psychology, Dr. Little integrates faith-based counseling with sound clinical insight. She is a Board-Certified Christian Counselor and a Certified Christian Counselor through One Faith Ministry, Inc. She is also a Certified Temperament Counselor with the National Christian Counselors Association.

Dr. Little’s pastoral heart is reflected in her years of ministry and chaplaincy service. She is an ordained both as Senior Chaplain with the International Alliance of Community Chaplains (IAOCC) and as a Minister through the New Green Grove Church of Faith. Her pastoral training includes completion of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) (3). She has served as a hospice chaplain in an inpatient hospital setting, offering comfort, spiritual guidance, and compassionate presence during some of life’s most difficult seasons. Her counseling work is informed by extensive training in grief and loss, trauma recovery, crisis intervention, domestic violence, suicide prevention, and ethical care, a true testimony to her belief in helping the broken hearted and the down trodden.

Throughout her ministry, Dr. Little has founded and facilitated several support groups, including programs for sexual trauma recovery, grief support, and Celebrate Recovery. She is also trained in Stephen’s Ministry, and faith-based encouragement, allowing her to meet individuals with care that are both personal, biblically and spiritually grounded.

In addition to her ministry background, Dr. Little brings over two decades of leadership and counseling experience from her 21 years of service in the United States Navy, where she served as a Chief Electrician and was certified as a correctional counselor, advanced individual counseling, and a drug and alcohol abuse supervisor. Her background includes specialized training in crisis negotiation, aggressive behavior management, critical incident stress management (CISM), and domestic violence intervention. These experiences contribute to her calm, structured, and trauma-informed approach to care.

Dr. Little is also trained in temperament counseling, relapse prevention, Stephen Ministry, Freedom in Christ encouragement, and grief facilitation, allowing her to tailor care to the emotional, spiritual, and relational needs of those she serves.

With a calling rooted in service, wisdom shaped by experience, and a heart for Christ-centered healing, Dr. Sandra D. Little is committed to helping individuals find hope, restoration, and spiritual wholeness.
